greatness

This is a great song, I'm glad you chose to cover it. You give it the feeling many other cover artists fail to pinpoint. And I'm still impressed that you've only been playing for a year. Even more so by this piece.

Boux responds:

Allright! Glad you think it deserved a 10. Thanks much.

nice

nice intro, I'd respect anything that had this as an intro. lol

Khonjin responds:

Thanks :)

It sounds sorta midi-ish

It sounds sorta midi-ish, which I like. It goes well with the tune. You did very well with the percussion especially. I like it overall, and think it flows nicely. :) You should build on it.

Love the game

I'm a big fan of the game, so anything with its music in it is good in my book. :) I can hear this having been in the actual game, like maybe during a part where there was some special event taking place. Thanks for reminding me about this game. lol

DjKavi responds:

lol nice, i can see this track being used in the game as well, like for a welcomeback scene with a party lol. but thank you for the review, as for the game, havent played it in awhile hmm should play for a bit

Halo

I never played the story of the game, but I've seen segments of it from my brother playing it, and I have to say I heard some beautiful music while I was watching. And maybe this is the song I was hearing, cause this is absolutely beautiful. One of my firmest beliefs is that a video game's success is almost entirely based on its music. There are other important aspects to a game, but music is the only one that tells the player what to feel, instead of letting them decided for themselves. So I think Halo's success (although it is still very fun) is heavily based on it's music.

DJdudenator responds:

i have to admit you are correct. Halo's music directors were also in fact thier composers which I think is a cool fact. not many video game designers decide to create thier own music for their game.
Thanks for the review

wow

the moment the very first few notes played, I was like "I'm so happy I'm hearing this right now" lol It's really interesting hearing this with such an upbeat rhythm. I can see a video game nerd/breakdancer getting down to this. XD

really soothing

You have control of a great emotion. You can calm anyone down from whatever mess life puts them in. There are so many scenes I can imagine when I hear your music. And they're all beautiful and sweet, enjoying the moment kind of feelings. :)

Boux responds:

Cool , the only thing i can say is continue to thanking you to take the time and listen!

sounds good

You sound good for only having been playing for one year. But I can understand why this is more slow in that case, cause it's harder to play fast if you're still new to it. lol I really like the overall calm feeling I get from your sound.

Boux responds:

Glad you like that one, its the one i put the more time on, thanks much for taking the time to listen!

good but

It's good but your commentary seems a little spammish so it makes me think you may not be the author. In the case that you are, it sounds really good and I can see it being used for something great like a cool video game or show. I'm glad I heard this. :) Sorry for being suspicious, if you really are the author :P

yagru responds:

i am lol

freaking love it

I don't understand why I'm the first to review. This is insanely awesome. I too am in love with the shamisen. :) I have yet to use it in any of my works, but I definitely will at some point. I'm glad someone else out there respects a good Asian instrument as much as I do. And when I read your comments about it, I was expecting much less than what came out of my speakers. That means you're being way too hard on yourself. There's always room for improvement, but this is still awesome as hell. I have been aspiring to put together a flash game with an Asian theme, and if I ever do, I would love to use this song in it. Consider yourself accomplished as far as this piece is concerned. :D

Charleon responds:

Why not ask me to make the song you want instead, it's always nice to have custommade music, don't you agree? ;),
glad to see there are fellow shamisenlikers out there

Heya, my name is Caleb and I make music and draw and pretend like I can use Flash. Actually I probably could if I used it every once in a while. But I hope that someday I will get down to business and make some good animations and stuff. Enjoy!
