Excellent topic

The name Shawarma Queen makes for an excellent song title and theme. Hearing this song makes me hungry. lol And I love meat variety. I liked the acoustic guitar, very authentic piece.

fairly common chord progression, but you played on it rather well with your choice of complimenting melody. Choice of sounds was great too, everything fit together quite nicely. Every piece complemented every other throughout the whole span, with things like "my how I love your shirt" and "have you lost weight?" lol jk no but they really did complement each other.

awesome

it goes well with the story, I love how it gradually sped up in tempo. My fav part was the bells (xylophone?) It was very sad and painted a really good picture of a broken young girl.

I like it

I'm actually writing a war-themed song myself right now. :] It flows really nicely and does fit the war-type sound. If you want a criticism on it, the only one I can give is that the lead string is a little so synthy, so my suggestion would be to find a more realistic sound to use. Other than that, I can't force anymore criticism out. lol
Did that siren sound come from a program called Virtual DJ? Just wondering. lol I like how the note of the siren matches the chords of the song.

Assassin2 responds:

Thanks for listening to it! This was done ages ago on Fruity Loops, I then and now have no idea how to use it, I mean the whole song is one pattern on the step sequencer, which was really impractical I thought at the time, what with all the copy and paste.. ugh.. turns out I needed to do some homework lol. I hate the lead string with a passion, I couldn't get it to come through piercingly like I intended without it coming out, well piercingly. As for the siren I think I googled it lol. I think it's the same as the one in Pulse of the Maggots, which is both sad I think that and repeat it. Anyway, I'm aching to make more music, I need some coin though. Thanks for again for listening, I await to hear your war-themed song and force some criticism out ; )

omg

Don't you hate it when people who have nothing in their brain write an almost unreadably bad review? That guy two reviews below me definitely falls on the problem side of society. lol This is yet another amazing piece you've made, and I love how high you go. Gives me chills. Keep going, forever and ever please. I'll keep listening. :)

LadyArsenic responds:

Aww, thanks Cayler. This poem has always put such beautiful imagery in my mind. Well... these sounds are kind of my way of putting it into something intangible. =3 I do love my high notes. <3 Opera singer in training, you know!
Oh! Please don't forget to check MaestroRage's profile for my work too! ^_^ We're partners in crime, you know. But yes. As sure as the world will keep spinning, I will keep on singing. Thanks for listening!

amazing

That's so awesome, I'm no where near good enough to perform a classical song like this, so I'll just sit back and listen to the awesome people who can. XD This is only the first of your pieces for me to listen to and I can't wait to hear the rest after hearing this one.

LadyArsenic responds:

^_^ Thank you kindly, Cayler. Heehee, I wouldn't beat myself up if I were you though. I sound like a socially awkward child when I try to do anything pop-related, so I think we're even! <3
Anyway, I'm very glad you enjoyed this piece, as I have enjoyed learning it. Caccini is a wonderful composer, yes?
Anywho, thanks again, and thanks for listening! I hope to hear more from you soon too!

freaking

Anyone who doesn't give this a 10 is deaf. Some people who don't know music can complain about this and that, but all the musicians out there who know a thing or two can't help but think to themselves "I wish I wrote something that amazing" This whole piece is far beyond simple, and far beyond most of the competition on Newgrounds. I thoroughly applaud you.

Owlsey responds:

That may very well be the best review i've ever gotten. Thank you.

You're really skilled with words and music, I wouldn't mind doing a great collab with you. It would be great.

That gets so risque at the end. I like it. And the guitar and super awesome vocals too. ////^[]^\\\\

Haha thanks, man. I wrote this song as a joke, almost. I couldn't stop laughing when I first played it. Really I was just resentful and wanted to make light of it :)

Great

I'm happy to hear your sound because most people on this site just make stuff with software and call it 'kulz teknos' but you actually write songs and sing 'em which is the best way to go. We should form a group of people who are pro-vocal XD Love your songs :) I'm gonna fav you as an artist

shoester responds:

Wow thanks so much, man! I've listened to just about all of your stuff and I really adore your songwriting and mixing. Yeah, I also get pretty excited when I find songs on NG with vocals..that group idea sounds beast :)

Heya, my name is Caleb and I make music and draw and pretend like I can use Flash. Actually I probably could if I used it every once in a while. But I hope that someday I will get down to business and make some good animations and stuff. Enjoy!
