accurate

It really does sound like rain. That's a great depiction of an inspirational moment, sitting on the porch watching the rain. I love moments like that. It sounds like you used some sounds similar to the ones used on the Snes game Secret of Mana. Ever heard of it? It's one of my fav games, and so I enjoyed your choice of instruments. :] Thanks for telling me about this song.

Thank ya for the review I have played the game but it was very briefly. I'll have to grab it at the local game exchange and pop the cartridge in and give it a try :D

Great work

Yeah, it was a bit short. But mostly a good piece of music. The only weird sounding part was the lead, because it didn't fit into the chord progression. You should try to redo the lead to something that sounds a little softer and fits the chords. And make it longer. Then you'll have a hit. :]

OK. Thanks Caleb!

Wow

The guitar and every other bit of music in this song is awesome. The lyrics are awesome too, I just think it would be better if you gave the lyrics more of a musical purpose rather than just screaming them, because the rest of the song is top notch as far as music is concerned. Definitely alot of potential in this song. Definitely some skill involved in making it. I'm a fan of it.

Gunshy responds:

cool thanks. thanks for the lyric compliment and critique as well... the words used to be much more screamy and less melodic, if you can believe that, so i hear what you're saying definitely... i've tried to find the melody in there over the years myself. thanks again.

I love

Whenever I hear piano played like this, I get so emotional. lol I love this piece, anyone who can make a piano that good and then fit it with a great beat deserves credit in my book. You chose sounds that worked great together and your chord progression was awesome. Keep writing!! :D

SinJim responds:

Thanks for the comments, I'm happy that you enjoyed the song. I'll be coming up with more of these. You may want to check out the Emerging from Solitude song I've got if you really liked this one. It's got no beat but it's piano with strings. Anyways, thanks again.

Really awesome!!

I love the chord progression and the complementing melody. The lyrics are great too. I might wanna cover this beautiful song :)

AlexSandford responds:

Awesome. Feel free to do a cover, just credit the original and tell me when you do it so I can check it out. Thanks for the review, bro.

holy crap

I was just playing this game last night!! :) Your rendition is freaking amazing. I love the way you emphasized special parts with the percussion. And the reverb gives it a freaking awesome feel of what the level was like. lol Great!! :D

I just now realized that you're the one who made FF7 World Theme Excerpt. That is one of my favorites,I really like the FF7 theme, and you did a great job with it.

Thanks for liking my song :) Or should I say my version of this song?

it fits

definitely a cop show song. I can imagine turning on the tv in the 70's and hearing this music right away. :)

Instinks responds:

Haha yeah thanks for the review

sooo great

I love your ambiance ability. It just keeps getting better. I want to see your stuff in some really awesome game and not just in my sorry excuse for a dressup flash.

Flash-MX responds:

Hey Cayler, thanks again for the support! I'm still glad that the music was at least put to use :D

a great tune

It's a great tune, but my most favorite aspects are by far the sounds. It sounds so 80s computer game. It's amazing. Automatically gives a certain ambience because of the sound quality. Makes me think of Out of this World, the first Duke Nukems, just a whole slew of older titles. loving it

Thank ya again for the review. The only thing I would change is make the song a little louder.

really good

I really like it. I don't know why nobody else has reviewed. It's got a great flow and the melody line complements the chord progression nicely. It sounds like something you'd hear in an rpg during an important scene of the game. lol

Thanks for the review. I try to put my heart into the songs I make and I am my biggest nitpicker so I try to perfect them before I release them.

Heya, my name is Caleb and I make music and draw and pretend like I can use Flash. Actually I probably could if I used it every once in a while. But I hope that someday I will get down to business and make some good animations and stuff. Enjoy!
